The family Threskiornithidae, Ibises and Spoonbills, are large terrestrial and wading birds distinguished by their diagnostic bills. They feed by touch - Ibises probing with long, down-curved bills, and Spoonbills sweeping laterally through shallow water with their spoon-shaped bills.
